How to edit an image with AI without starting over?
Hover over a generated image, select Make changes, describe what to change, and select Submit. The app creates a new version and keeps the original. An edit costs the same as making one image.
Make changes to a generated image
You do not need to write a new prompt from scratch. Tell the AI what to change, and it edits the image for you.
- Open Create image and make an image, or use one from your current session.
- Hover over the image in the Generated tab.
- Select the Make changes button. It shows a pencil and ruler.
- In Describe the changes, write what you want to be different.
- Select Submit. You can also press Enter.
A new image appears in your results. The original stays where it is, so you can compare both.
Write a good change request
- Ask for one change at a time. For example, "Make the background light blue."
- Be specific. Say "Move the logo to the top right" instead of "Fix the logo."
- Keep it short. Long requests can fail, and you will see "Changes are too long."
Tip: If you do not like the result, select Make changes on the new image and try again.
What an edit costs
An edit costs the same as making one image at the quality you picked. Low costs 15 credits, Medium costs 20, and High or Auto costs 30.
Common questions
Does Make changes replace my original image?
No. It adds a new image to your results and keeps the original.
Can I edit an image from my Library?
You can edit images made in your current session. To change an older image, add it as a reference under Customization, then describe the new version in your prompt.
Why did my edit fail?
The most common reasons are a request that is too long or not enough credits. Shorten your request and try again. Check your balance in the left navigation.
